#concept Space in architecture (in the visual tradition) starts as an abstract notion of a plan. As Le Corbusier said: "The [[Plan]] is the generator". But what does it mean? This has been interpreted to mean Cartesian space - a perfect, mathematical, metric, uniform, homogeneous 'void' defined by the [[Grid]] [[Apparatus]]. Architects operate in this space, and this space is given as a [[Default]] in all design [[Software]].
